This is a huge game for both these sides so early
on in the season. Both are struggling, and the three
points would make a huge difference to the
confidence of these sides. I think Paul Jewell's
Wigan are going to find it hard this season. They
have only won one game all season, and were hammered
3-1 by Man Utd in their last home game. Previously,
they could only draw 1-1 at home to Watford. Man
City are only faring a little better, but they do
come into this game with some confidence after going
on a three match unbeaten run, which has seen them
beat West Ham and draw with Everton and Sheffield
Utd. Again, this is a tough match to call from a
betting point of view. These sides are desperate for
points and I'm sure the game is going to be tight.
My first instinct was for a Man City away win. I
think they have a little more quality in their side,
and have more options in midfield.
However, I think now the best bet is to go with
the Under 2.5 in this game. I'm sure both
managers will be happy not to lose this match, and
they will probably be happy with a point each. I
wouldn't be surprised if this game ended 0-0 or 1-1.
