"After a great start to his Tottenham
career, Martin Jol's team are now five games without
a win. They lost their last home game 0-2 against
Chelsea. Losing to Chelsea is not suprising, but more
worrying for them is their defence, which has conceded
eight goals in the last three games. Portsmouth have
also been going through a sticky patch, but did have
a confidence boosting 2-1 win over a good Middlesbrough
side last week.
This will be a tough game for Tottenham today. If
their defence can control Pompey striker Yakubu then
they should win the game. One factor on their side
is that away from Fratten Park, Pompey are awful.
They have only won twice away from home all season,
but they are up against a very leaky defence! Spurs
concede an average of 1.5 goals every home game, and
score nearly two. I'm not convinced of a Spurs home
win at short odds, so the best bet for this game is
the OVER
2.5 goals @ a nice 2.06 with Betfair [£20
Free bet]. Both these teams have strikers
that can make a difference. Spurs have scored 11 goals
in their last four home games, while Portsmouth have
scored in three out of their last four away trips.
With odds over evens available, these should be snapped
up! Get ON! (and bet with someone else's money

would'nt go quite as far as Johnee, but i hate to
say the squad ain't good enough. once you have to
call on Fletcher, O'Shea, Richardson,Silvestre,
looki at Chelsea's replacements, compared to
them.....
Squad looks adequate to equal last seasons efforts,
sold yer best goal scorer, and come the end of the
season will regret it imo
Cheers
I'm pretty sure the first post is sarcasm leather,
United were being written off all summer by all and
sundry. Rooney and Ronaldo would never speak again
blah blah blah, basically repeating tabloid nonsense
about empires crumbling, ends of era blah blah blah.
Ironically the same journos who have barely said a
word about Wenger, 'transition' when they have a bad
spell apparently.
I have a copy of a pre season Oliver Holt piece that
I intend to insert forcibly into his back passage,
he can keep his Man.City Y fronts and vest on while
I do it. Hairy f*cker.
