Its been an awful start to the Premiership for
Spurs and their manager Martin Jol. They have only
won once all season and are down the league in 17th
place. In their last game they were hammered 3-0
away at Liverpool. Portsmouth have had a dream start
to their season, they currently lie in third place
in the league, and have won four out of their first
six games. However, they did go down 1-0 at home to
Bolton in their last Premiership outing. Could this
be the bursting of the bubble?
I cant see how Tottenham's poor form can
continue. They possess a very strong squad, although
they do have some key players injured - Jermaine
Defoe and Berbatov are both injured and will
struggle to be fit for this game. However, I think
the inclusion of Egyptian star Mido may be a big
plus for them, as they previously lacked the height
of a big striker who can hold the ball up, and
Mido can definitely bring this to the team.
Portsmouth have played very well away from home so
far in the league, having already beaten Charlton
and Middlesbrough on their travels, but I think they
will find Spurs a few levels above those teams, who
are both struggling at the foot of the table and
they could come unstuck here.
Bluesq will offer
customers a free £25 bet on this game and offer
10/11 for a Tottenham home win. I think these odds
should be snapped up, as I think Mido-Keane up front
for Spurs offer a whole lot more than their previous
formations. Also with the quality in the squad,
their poor form cannot continue for much longer.
With Pompey losing their last game, Martin Jol will
see this as a must win game and I'm sure his team
can respond with the three points. |
