" Spain come into this game on the back
of a disappointing 1-1 draw, and Spain coach Luis
Aragones is set to field a new-look team for the Group
Seven qualifier against Belgium in Santander.
In-form Barcelona playmaker Xavi is likely to feature
in the midfield and Athletic Bilbao left back Asier
del Horno should get his first start in a competitive
match for the national side. The problem is that Spain
are struggling to score, they have only managed three
goals in their last five games. Belgium also have
their problems, with the defence leaking thirteen
goals in the last ten games. The main cause of this
is that they are suffering from the the absence of
sweeper Timmy Simons, which has casused the defence
to look particularly vulnerable.
After managing no more than a 1-1 draw at home to
Lithuania in their first game, Belgium could easily
find themselves out of the running in this group and
I feel that Spain should be too strong for them at
home. When you look at Spains attacking options (Yeste,
Joaquin, Vicente, Victor, Torres, Raul, Reyes and
Tamudo are all in Aragones’s squad), I think
that a single goal for the Spaniards will be enough.Get

going forward, their quality in the squad should see
them through, and Belgiums defence is even worse!
" It looks like Moyesy, Blue Bill, and
Bully Beef are planning to have a trouble free
Summer enjoying the sunshine somewhere. After
completing the signing of Andy Johnson yesterday,
the Blues have today announced that Wolves centre
half, Joleon Lescott has agreed to join Everton
depending on the results of his medical.
Unbelievable, what the hell I am going to talk about
this Summer, who am I going to off. Three
players in, three of quality, and we have to say
now, that Blue Bill has not been involved in any
Bank raid to raise the cash for this weeks sortie's
into the transfer market.
Bully Beef says: "We have now concluded our
discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Joleon has
been given permission by his club to open talks with
us and he will undergo a medical." I think the crime
seems to be leaving Wolves, rumours are thats why a
certain Mr Gerrard suddenly decided overnight that
he no longer wanted to leave for Chelski. It is true
but he will sit out for more from what I'm hearing ,
good riddance if he does . we would all like to keep
him but let's not forget his position for a lot of
last year, africa and bench !
Would 'nt worry about gangsters after lescott ,
he'll soon be ' approached and looked after' round
here, only cost him a few comps and be seen with a
few faces .......... sorted ! sad but can u tell me
a player who u have known to start to be befriended
by these 'sorts'
That is not the case here. It may well be that his
move is now the end of the line as far as this goes.
I'm not certain it will be, but I hope for his sake
it is. Everton's £8.6m signing Andy Johnson
missed two penalties in succession in England
training yesterday (Daily Mail) mm, do u know if
this the end of the spending or is moyes still
planning to bring more faces in? Gerrard was
different, he was told if he didn't move he'd be in
trouble but another lad then approached the person
who made the threat and all is sorted, plus his
wages went up by 20k a week!! Lescott is that he can
lose concentration ocasionally. I put this down to
him playing at a level below where he should be, but
he'll need to cut it out. Other tthan that you have
got a very very good player. Rarely dives in, always
on his feet, and always seems to have so much time
on the ball. There arent many centre backs as
comfortable on the ball as him either. He'd be on a
par with Dawson at Spurs for me, and he's had a
great season.
