Think we should be ok now up front. even with injuries i think we've got some good cover.
defensively, surely we've got enough good players in the squad. its just a case of decicing who's gonna play and sticking with that. the midfield area though is where i think we are a little bit lacking.
carsley, although i feel has been brilliant for us is maybe past his best now. davies is inconsistent, cahill looks jiggered and vdm looks dis-interested. poor old arteta needs help and needs it badly.
can't see us strengthening from these shores, so maybe a shopping trip abroad is the order of the day! Cant see Moyes playing anything other than 4-4-2 at home and whilst all 4 in the middle were distinctly average on Saturday Carlsey has to be the weak link. He is great as the anchor in a 5 man midfield and maybe with 2 tough away games in the next week we will play 4-5-1 with AJ up front on his own.

In a 4-4-2 though he's not going to dominate a match and will rarely be a goal threat in open play.
Hindsight is wonderful but would have preferred to have seen Cahill and Arteta in the middle, Osman on the right and McFadden on the left if employing a 4-4-2 at home ..though there would be plenty of us questioning whether Osman and McFadden can cut it week in week out at the highest level.
We will always be able to pick holes in our team but the same can be said for every team bar maybe Chelski. Still think that with a genuine pacey striker up front a top 7 will be easily achievable and hopefully with some decent football aswell. Thought Watford were strong and didnt drop their heads at all . They will surpise a few this season.
