"Scotland should come into this game
with some form of confidence after they impressed
during their abandoned game in Spain last month (it
was 1-1 when the lights went out in Valencia). They
have been rocked by this game, however due to their
extensive injury list - A whole host of players have
pulled out and at time of writing, which includes
star defender defender Steven Pressley, and his loss
is a big blow to the Scots. Norway have had a good
string of results recently, They have lost just once
in 10 games - away to Italy - but a look at their
last eight competitive games shows they have never
scored more than one goal.
They have only taken one point from their first two
qualifying games and this is a big game for them,
as they will now be feeling the pressure to take maximum
points.
This is a difficult game to call, Scotland will be
playing infront of a sellout 52000 crowd, but they
are struggling to score going forward. Coming into
this game, they played out a disappointing 0-0 draw
with Slovenia, with star striker James McFadden struggling
to get a game at Everton and he has not impressed
on his recent International outings. As a result of
this I'm going for UNDER
2.5 goals @ 1.69 with Betfair [£20
Free Bet]. Both these teams will be extremely
nervy, and they will not take many risks. Scotland
have problems scoring and Norway only have John Carew,
who is past his best. A tight, low scoring game for
me. "
I genuinely think if we defend like we did last
season and finally manage to get a decent goalscorer,
you'd see a real transformation. At the moment I
accept we are a country mile away from the
Premiership - lets see if Benitez can ultimately
come up with the answers. Surely, they made a huge
mistake in allowing Houllier as much time as they
did? He racked up an £82m deficit on his transfer
activities, and when he left, your three best
players were Owen, Gerrard and Carragher, all of
whom were home-grown talents. Benitez has had to buy
virtually a whole new squad, it is inevtiable he
will make the odd mistake in buying players for a
League he knows little about as yet. The biggest
problem with Benitez is,his fascination with
bringing in Spanish players, who are plainly not good
enough to wear a Liverpool shirt.I will give you a
clue,Spanish and Italian footballers do not come to
this country when they are in their prime! Can anyone
name 1? And as for Sissokko,hes just a pansy,cant/doesnt
want to tackle and his passing is awful.Already this
season he has lost sight in 1 eye and broke his
shoulder,both of these I dont believe.The bloke is a
mardarse.
