Don' t get me wrong regards wonderful ability ,
simply doesn't train hard enough to get physically
fit, if he did he'd be first name on the sheet. also
feel moyes has to bite the bullet with Osman and
playing him wide , can't beat a man so centre mid or
off the striker only place for him to play, not as
good as Cahil/Arteta but can replace them as a
squaddie if not taken the 1.5 million offered in the
past.
just read on another post nolan for everton in
january, a good mate of mine has a drink with Nolan
on the odd occasion , asked him regarding the
rumours, as a red he'd love to go there but' u don't
knock Everton back , bigger club than bolton b ut i
havent heard nothing offically ,and u would have
thought i would if it was to happen. For once I
thought we did ok yesterday considering the side we
had out - 5 centre halves at one stage. Whatever the
problems with Van d M he certainly was refreshing to
watch yesterday - a winger actually beating people!
I know Beattie chased down the ball for the first
goal but he did nothing else - seeing Vaughan score
that goal which Beattie will never do makes me wish
that Moyes would take a chance and play him or
Anichebe from the start - they are both quick and
strong and who knows how good they might become.
Jimmy Mac returns to the Everton squad after his
sending off in the Carling Cup. Long term absentees,
Tiny, Nace, Sandro and Hibbo are all still weeks
away from any competitive action, so Moyesy's
starting eleven is a straight 4-5-1, without Biffa,
or 4-4-2 with Biffa. With Charlton propping the
table up, Moyesy may throw caution to the wind, and
go with Biffa, now that he has the support of Harry
Hill and Phil Neville holding the midfield together.
Nuno will carry on at left back, after last weeks
impressive return, and Joey should slot into the
right back position, leaving Roger and Stubbsey in
the middle. Mikky and Leon will make up the numbers
as Everton go for their second away win in London
this season.
I think the Beattie problem is as i have stated that
he don't fit into the style of play that moyes has
we play four central midfielders so no width or
beating a man and crossing from the byline.i have
watched him since the Southampton days and know that
and so does moyes but is playing to what gets the
results. You get him attacking a ball from the
byline with the centre halves and u will see him at
his best but I'm afraid i dont think we will see it
at goodison
