Reading have impressed everyone this season by
continuing their fine form from last year. They find
themselves in seventh place and are on quite a
decent run. The Royals are unbeaten in their last
four matches, which includes three wins and a draw
at home to Man Utd. Of course, we all know
what Chelsea are about. The champions are in second
place on goal difference, and have won four out of
their last five games - their last game being a draw
at home to Aston Villa. This is going to be an
interesting game as of course the bookies have gone
big on Chelsea to win, and they are a best priced
1/2 to secure the three points, which I think is way
too short as they play a team who are themselves in
a fine run of form, and have already proved they can
match the big guns on their day by securing a draw
with Man Utd.
Many of the Chelsea players will have been away
on international duty, and although they are
professional enough to be mentally and physically
fit for every game, fatigue must play a part, and
also this is Reading's biggest game of their season,
and so the atmosphere will be pretty intense. I am
expecting Chelsea to win this game although it will
be a battle and be very tight. The Royals may need
extra assistance from the asian handicap.
Reading are way overpriced at 6/1 to win this
match, and it may be worth a speculative punt at
those inflated odds, however
Bet365, who offer all
customers a free £100 bet on this match, have
Reading +1 at an almost evens 1.975. I think this
offers quite a bit of appeal. Chelsea could easily
win by the one odd goal - which is why I'm also
putting money on correct score 'saver' of Chelsea to
win 2-0 @ 6/1. |
