The biggest week of the season for Forest. Good results at
Brentford and Rotherham - highly unlikely on season to date -
would make them a cracking bet at today's prices. IF - and it's
and very big if - Megson lets Commons run riot behind Tyson and
Holt away from home, then this could be the time for a real
charge. I can't make it to Brentford but am off to Rotherham
where I want to see nothing as defensive as what I have seen
before. If Forest lose both games this week, end of season. FOD
- Clingan yet to sign i believe?
Clingan deal off I think
Taylor on transfer list
Oldham's Grant - you can see why he's on the books of a
Premiership club but failed to put any presence in the game.
Nice touches but gets knocked off the ball to easily. Oldham in
general looked dangerous on occasions but apart from long range
efforts and punting the ball high into our box (admittedly not a
bad tactic against us) ran out of ideas. Great visiting fans you
have though !! Credit to you.
Well after waiting a lifetime (19 years) the Gills got their
chance to play Swindon. Whilst there was plenty of tension and
unfriendly stuff outside the ground before and after the game.
The match itself saw the Gills defeat one of the worst teams
(including kiddies at half time) to grace Priestfield in many
years 3-0. Overall it seems that the departure of Cooper and
many of his disappointing signings has turned the Gills season
round. A motivated Byfield flying round putting tackles worthy
of a defender as well as looking a class above Swindons defense.
Combined with Flynn standing up and acting the leader and
putting a perforance not seen this season, combined with Jason
Brown in goal giving everyone confidence ment that this was a
performance to enjoy.
If we can start playing like that on the road (14th feb
anyone?)a push for the play offs might not be beyond us.
