BETTING ANALYSIS
|
| Sorry for the delay FOD. I am slightly
biased about Thompson because as I mentioned I have
always liked him and consider him underrated. last night
he looked more athletic, more creative and more assured
than any other midfield player. i would love to see him
stay there but is he a Megson type. I suspect the three
centre halves is hear to stay but I thought Cuillip was
good, especially in only his 2nd game back. If Thompson
stayed midfield and Tyson adds a new dimension up front
things may well look up. Next 2 games are crucial
though. Not losing to Southend and Huddersfield would
suffuce for me. Any more news on the Johnson to Hull
move? In time I hope our best strike force will be Tyson
and Dobie. On the minus side thought Curtis was poor
last night - maybe needs gamnes to revcover his
sharpness. Anyway at least we came through.
Is every week a tough betting week in League one for
Value? It certainly seems so!
I am off to Donny early in the morning so posting up now
selections. As always, not an official bet, but HOW are
Bournemouth 5/2+ away again? Another £40 invested
tomorrow wherever we find a donny bookie!
How much is home advantage counting for league one teams
this season so far? Teams such as Huddersfield and
Forest are dominant at home, along with Swansea and
Barnsley, yet the rest are keeping the league tight by
beating each other home and away every week. ( In fact,
according to the post, percentage wise there are more
aways so far this season in league one than all the
other English leagues, regardless of how many games
played.)
How is it then, that people make Bristol City jolly's at
home to Chesterfield? Conceding 17 goals in their
previous 6 games (5 in last 2 at home), City are
struggling to get used to their new manager so far. A
few people I spoke to having viewed the Swindon game
think City are about to turn the corner, and they played
better than Swindon despite having 10 men. Maybe they
did, but Swindon are even more gone than City as they
proved midweek against the mighty Boston, going 4 behind
at half time.
This quick turnaround fixtures week (any ideas why
gents) throws up a corrosponding fixture from all of 3
games ago. Result Chesterfield 3-0 Bristol City.
