Man Utd come into this game after the shock of
losing to Arsenal in their last home game at Old
Trafford. They seemed to get things back on track
with a good 1-0 away win in the Champions League
midweek over Benfica. Newcastle are having an
indifferent start to their campaign, currently in
15th place in the league. They have only won two
games out of the six played, while they have lost
two out of their three away trips. Most recently
they were beaten by Liverpool 2-0. I have to say I
was particularly impressed by the form of Louis Saha,
who scored a magnificent goal midweek, and Ronaldo
in midfield, and it seems that Utd have forgotten
their Arsenal defeat. Its hard to see Newcastle
getting anything from this game, as they have only
won once in their last five matches. They could only
draw 1-1 with Everton at home in their last game.
beattie-not gone well at all.hasnt even looked good
this year but in his defence his confidence is shot
and he aint fit.the guy is at his beast attacking
good balls into the box and scoring which gains in
confidence and he prodruces.big dunc done more or
less the same imo scoring the odd goal against the
big few.beattie aint injured as much and dont get
sent off as much but one was a legend and the other
hated??explain that 1?
johnson-class act but suffering from the way the
team is playing.quality goalscorer but being used to
chase down hopeless balls against four defenders in
the channels.gives it all but not being played to
the best of his abilities
vaughan-delighted to even see him playing again.cant
pass judgement as i dont know if hes good or not
anichebe-dont look much more to me that a young
emile heskey.clumsy battering ram that might learn
in time.should be out on loan in a lower league
learning his trade instead of playing in the ressies.
if ive left others out apologies but thats just my
opinion of our squad.for me its v light wieght and
five years later aint anything to get excitied
about.no serious potential in youth coming through
as any other team villa etc when bare bones bring in
few young lads.viddarson,hughes,agard,kissock if
good enough would be in or coming off the bench at
worst.age means nowt these days if good enough.ill
agree with mm that we shouldnt change till the end
of the season but then for me its clear ur desk and
thanks for the effort but nil satis nisi optimum and
we wanna try something new.a lot of money wasted on
poor players.wright,osman,mc
fadden,pistone,valente,carsley possibly arteta imo
thru ambition and unhappiness stubbs weir will all
be gone.dont think bill has the funds to replace all
those 9 players and then what do we do???v important
next year to keep this club on an upward curve.every
window we go in to increase the squad yet the last
three its closed with 1 player less
I'm not taking any chances here,
get a free £100 bet with Betfred and stick it on the
home win @ 4/11. I also fancy Saha to find the
net, and may have a small wager on him being first
goalscorer at 4/1 with Coral. Newcastle have done
nothing to suggest they can upset Man utd here, and
with a few key players in form, the Red Devils
should secure the three points. |
