Man City seem to have finally turned the corner after a bad start which saw Stuart Pearce come under alot of pressure. They have started to play well at home, where they are unbeaten, and have won their last two games, beating West Ham and Arsenal. We must also note that although their away form is pretty bad, they have yet to concede a goal at Maine Road. Sheffield Utd have struggled this year as expected, and they are third from bottom. however they finally secured their first win by beating Middlesbrough 2-1 in the last minute of stoppage time.

Three out of four of Man City's last games have been away from home, and although results have not been good, their home form has picked up. They also showed some fight and spirit by snatching a draw 1-1 with Everton in their last game. I was expecting Man City to be pretty heavy favourites for this match, although the bookmakers are offering 8/11 for a home win on this game, which I think isn't a bad bet.

Sheffield Utd have yet to score a goal on their travels and are conceding an average of two goals for every away game, while Man City have not conceded a goal against. Betfred are offering upto a free £100 bet on this game and with odds available just under evens I think Man City should have just too much quality for Neil Warnocks men today. I'm sure he will have his team fired up and they will fight for everything, but I think City just have the edge and should secure a narrow home win.
