Both these teams find themselves in the bottom
half of the table after an indifferent start to the
Premiership campaign, in fourteenth and fifteenth
place. Stuart Pearce's Man City have stuttered along
without really getting a good run together. Man City
are actually unbeaten at home in the league and have
yet to concede a goal. However they were thrashed
4-0 away at lowly Wigan in their last game, Boro
boss Gareth Southgate is trying to build a new team
after becoming their new manager this season,
although his results have been far from impressive.
They are yet to win away from the Riverside, and
have drawn two and lost two. They have won their
last two games however, beating Newcastle and
Everton at home. This is a difficult one to
predict as Man City do have a reasonable home record
and are unbeaten, however they are inconsistent with
their results. The bookies cannot predict the
outcome either, with Man City 11/8 and Boro 11/5.
Due to this I'm going to delve into another market -
the anytime goalscorer. Mark Viduka will be
missing from this game for Boro, so my attention is
turning to his other strike partner Yakubu. He has
scored four goals in his last three Premiership
matches and he is a major threat here today for Man
City. Coral offer 11/5 for him to score anytime
during a game and this is a cracking bet and should
be taken up. They will also offer new customers a
free £10 bet. G |
