Liverpool come into this game on the back of some
pretty dodgy results, and they are having a pretty
torrid time at the moment. They are still unbeaten
at home, however they have not won in their last
three games in the Premiership, although they do
come into this game on the back of a narrow 4-3 win
over Reading in the Carling Cup midweek. Aston Villa
are playing some good football at the moment,
they have drawn all their four away trips, and
actually five out of their last six games in the
league have been draws. They come into this game
after a 3-2 away win at Leicester in the Carling
Cup. Striker Gabriel Agbonlahor scoring in the final
minute of extra time.
This is going to be a tough game for Liverpool as
they are struggling at the moment. They do have a
good home record however, and this is shown in the
price - they are a best price 8/13 to win, while
Aston Vila are 4/1 to take the three points.
Villa seem to be the masters of the draw so far
this season, it is interesting to note that four out
of their last six games in the Premiership have
ended 1-1, while their last three results have ended
1-1. They actually should have won some of those
games, but their draws include away trips at Arsenal
and Chelsea, so why can't they draw at Liverpool?
I think Robbie Fowler can have a big influence on
this game, as he came back from injury midweek to
score and he is a big boost to the confidence of the
team. I wouldn't be surprised to see him finding the
net on Saturday, however Liverpool are always likely
to concede a goal at the back at the moment.
Bet365
offer all new customers a free £100 bet on the game
and offer Aston Villa +0.75 @ 2.05 on the handicap and I
think this is a good bet. Villa have already secured
draws with Chelsea and Arsenal, and with Liverpool
stuttering at the moment, I'm sure they can do
enough for a draw, which will make our bet a winner! |
