" This is one of the biggest games of
the season, and one of the oldest rivalries in the
Premiership.Liverpool have a great home record, winning
eight times at Anfield and only losing twice all season.
The Reds have won four out of their last six games
at home, but were beaten disapppintingly by Chelsea
0-1 in their last home game. Man Utd are in a rich
vein of form, having not lost in eleven games. They
have won four out of their last five away trips.
Liverpool will be boosted for this match with the
return from injury of star striker Milan Baros, and
this will give them better attacking options today.
They may also include new signing Morientes from Real
Madrid. Midfielder Steven Gerrard is also on top of
his game, and he scored again last week in the Carling
Cup against Watford. The Reds will still be without
Harry Kewell and Xavi Alonso however. Man Utd are
playing with confidence at the moment and have scored
seven goals in their last four away trips - an average
of nearly two goals, and they will welcome back Ryan
Giggs from a hamstring injury. This match is going
to be tight, but I think Liverpool are capable of
matching Utd today. The Reds have a great home record,
and they have already beaten Arsenal at home recently.
Im on the draw
@ 11/5 with totesport [£25

but with some great new signings to boost their attacking
options, and I think with a capacity crowd behind
them, Liverpool should hold the Red Devils to a draw.
Get On! "
Who could Liverpool get whose better than
Benitez?
He's won the CL in his first season, then the FA Cup
plus a record points total in the league in year 2,
of his signings this year Pennant is the only 1 im
dissapointed with, i still think Bellamy will prove
a useful player.
hopefully the investment happens and he can buy the
players he really wants like Alves instead of having
to settle for 2nd or 3rd best.
Liverpool are the most successful English team
because of their performance in Europe. They
concentrate primarily on winning the League thi
season. Why bother giving their energy to premership
games when their focus is on winning CL.All they
need is 4th place and healthy players which explains
their careful approach in Prem games.Benitez will
lead them to the final believe me.He is an expert.
He has spent loads and brought in a load of
average/poor players. YOu can bang on about
restricted budget as much as you want but anyone who
spends money on the amount of poor players he has,
plus caps it with thinking Pennant is worth £6
million, really must answer questions about his
transfer acumen. It's not like there are not
bargains to be had
