Cahill and Arteta will get better but Davies was pathetic as ever and for Carsley, bless him, time has run out. I will reserve judgement on the keeper as he didnt catch a cross all afternoon. I am not a fan of Moyes cos I dont like his style of play - Johnson is an excellent signing but once again he has spent 5 million on a centre half who he he doesnt play - Stubbs is so slow now and it is well accepted that we need more pace in defence. I thought that is why he had bought Lescott and not as back up.
Still I have no expectations - Watford fans seeemed pleased with the way they played even though they lost so maybe I should lower my sights as well.a bit unfair on stubbs , thought he was by far and away mom.also thought davies was unlucky to be subbed , im still to be convinced but of all our offensive players from midfield ,i thought he done best , which wasn't great but certainly could/should of stayed on the park.
was very dissappointed in moyes over that decision , simon is a quiet lad who doesn't moan too much whereas cahil does and maybe he didn't want to upset arteta, very poor from the manager, if he was to be anything this season he needs the backing off the man who signed him ! I would of thought with our style of play ,playing away will suit more with johnsons pace .however , to get the best out of cahil we need 4 others in midfield and beattie off the bench . 4-5-1 isn't ideal but with what hes bought i can't see any other formation max, eye test for me monday !
