Everton come into this game on the back of a
disappointing 2-1 loss away at Middlesbrough, and
they have now gone four games without a win. They
are still unbeaten at home, but they have
surprisingly drawn their last two games against
Wigan and Man City, two teams who you would expect
them to beat. Sheffield Utd are finally on their way
after beating Middlesbrough at home and then
securing a point away at Man City. They have big
scoring problems however, and are the only team in
the league not to score a goal away from home.
Everton will see this game as a must win, as their
fans will expect them to take all three points
today. Although I'm not so sure it will be an easy
game for them. Everton have stuttered recently,
especially at home, and they have drawn their last
two matches at Goodison. It is clear to see that
Sheffield Utd finally winning a match has given the
team great confidence, and they carried that over to
their previous game at Man City. Neil Warnock is
great at getting his side pumped up for a game and
I'm sure they will provide a tough challenge for
David Moyes' men. An Everton home win @ 4/7 does not
really inspire me.
Instead I'm looking into the correct score
market. As mentioned, Sheffield Utd have big
problems in front of goal and they are yet to score
away from Brammall Lane. Their last four away
results have gone 0-0, 3-0,1-0, 2-0. It would not
surprise me for Andy Johnson or Tim Cahill to pop up
and grab a winner for Everton here today. Betfred
offer upto a free £100 bet on this game, and I'm
taking them up on the nice 6/1 they offer for
Everton to win 1-0 and 13/2 for Everton to win 2-0.
Everton are stuttering, but I'm sure they can snatch
a tight contest by the odd goal or two. |
