Everton have had a great start to the season,
where they find themselves in fourth place. They are
undefeated in the league so far, however they have
drawn their last two games. They have scored seven
goals in their three home games.. Man City are
playing pretty poorly at the moment, winning
only once so far in the league, however that was in
the previous game at home. They have yet to take any
points away in the league, and have conceded a
massive eight goals in three games on their travels.
It is quite a task to predict the winner of this
game, as I feel Man City will have taken great
confidence in securing their first home win last
week, while Everton have drawn their last two games.
However, one stat that shouts out to me is the goals
scored. Man City are already conceding an average of
over two goals a game on the road, while Everton
have scored seven goals in their last three home
games. Of course, stats aren't everything, but it
does show that Everton are having some success in
front of goal at the moment, and that Man City have
big problems at the back. This is mainly due to to
the arrival of Andy Johnson, but also midfielder Tim
Cahill has chipped in. Everton should win this, but
Man City I think could snatch a draw off the
confidence their last match gave them. There should
be goals in this game, I can see it ending up 1-1 or
2-2. The best bet therefore is to look at the
anytime goalscorer market.
Andy Johnson has scored four goals in his last
four games, and there's no reason for him not to
continue this trend against a City side leaking
goals at the back.
Bet365 offer a free bet of £100 on Andy Johnson to
score anytime @ odds of 5/4, and I think this is an
unbelievably good bet. This should be
snapped up. Tim Cahill to score anytime also offers
some appeal at 13/8 - The Aussie has scored 2 in the
last three games and looks pretty sharp at the
moment. Some nice odds too! |
