Millwall
Last year: 10th
Ground: New Den
Capacity: 20,146
Manager: Colin Lee
(new for this season)
MILLWALL ended the season within touching distance
of the Play-Offs, but they’ll be lucky to stay up
this time round.
They’re a team in transition and things are going to
get worse before they get better.
The departure of Dermis Wise signalled loud and
clear that the money Millwall need to mount a
promotion charge will not be forthcoming despite
some big-money sales.
Danny Dichio’s move to Preston won’t help the Lions’
lack of goals or poor away form and it speaks
volumes t~r1t, prior to his departure last week,
Lions boss Steve Claridge had put himself in the
frame as a striking option.
He’s got haemorrhoids older than most Championship
defenders.
The Lions look opposable in match bets against QPR
or Watford.
We say: 23rd
100-1
Norwich
Last year: 19th, Premiership
Ground: Carrow Road
Capacity: 23,900
Manager: N/gel Worthington
(56 months, W89, D52, L77)
“WHERE ARE YA?” Back in the small pond, Delia.
The Canaries are short enough for the title, but, if
slowly into the swim this season, could become a
very attractive price to splash back into the
Premiership at the head of affairs.
Norwich rallied to great effect at the end of the
Premiership season, and after they beat Man United,
anything seemed possible.
They went on to win their last three home games but
took just a point from their last three road trips.
No away wins all season explains why this
attractive, gutsy team went down.
Bagging Cardiff striker Peter Thorne looks like
smart business, Dean Ashton has stayed for now, and
Nigel Worthington has got enough continuity to
minimise the relegation hangover.
We say: Champions 11-2
