Chelsea come into this game on the back of a
magnificient home win over Barcelona in the Champions
league midweek. They overcame their goalkeeper
crisis to secure the three points with an impressive
Didier Drogba strike. Domestically, as you would
expect, Chelsea find themselves in second place and
are playing back to their best. they have won three
out of their last four home games, and drawing the
other against Aston Villa 1-1.
Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth are also having a
great start to the season. They have won four out of
their last six games, and have won two out of their
last three away trips. As you would expect,
Chelsea are overwhelming favourites for this game
and the odds reflect this. 2/7 is the best price and
this offers very little value against a very good
Portsmouth side.
It is interesting to note that Chelsea do not
seem to
be as prolific in front of goal as you would expect,
they are winning games but only by the odd goal. In
four of their last six games they have won by a
margin of one goal or less, and have not scored
three goals at home since 20th August, when they
beat Man City 3-0.
That is why I
fancy Portsmouth +1.5 on the asian handicap @1.9.
Bet365 will offer a free £100 bet on this game and
this should be snapped up. We must also note
that Portsmouth have one of the strongest defences
in the league at the moment, conceding only three
goals in the Premiership this season so far. Get on
Harry Redknapp's side +1.5 with the handicap, and go
for a 2-0 correct score saver @11/2 to cover ourselves and
make our bet a winner! |
