Even without the goalscoring abilities of Wayne Rooney, Man Utd look to have way too much for Charlton at the Valley. It seems that their older players had points to prove, Ryan Giggs in midfield was superb, while Rio Ferdinand at the back was a rock, with the Fulham goal coming from a deflection. I'm sure Darren Bent and Hasselbaink can cause problems for the Utd defence, but I think its in midfield and defence where Utd have the edge. Scholes, Ronaldo and Giggs are the main playmakers and I think they can create alot of space and chances for Saha, who seems to find the net every game he plays. Charlton will be worried that they conceded three goals on the opening day, however lets remember they did have a man sent off.

With odds on a home win ranging from 4/1 to 15/2, the value does lie in the home win. But can Charlton beat Man Utd?? Im going to have a few quid on Charlton as a  price  over 7/1 is ridiculous for their first home game. However my main bet is going to be on Utd at a best price 4/7 with Bluesq. They really impressed on Sunday, with a mix of younger players and experienced old heads. Im sure they'll have too much for Ian Dowie's side, although put a few quid on Charlton @ 15/2 with Bet365 as a saver.
