"Celtic have made an awful start to the
CL and this game is a must win for them - they currently
lie bottom of Group F and have lost all three games,
including a heavy 3-0 defeat to Shakhtar away in their
last game. Shakhta's only win came agasint Celtic,
and both teams are trying to catch the giants AC Milan
and Barcelona.
Domestically, Celtic are heads above anything else
in the Scottish Premier League, but the league is
very poor. The Scots have won ten out of the twelve
games played, and are top of the league. Shakhtar
also top the Ukranian Premier League, with ten wins
out of eleven games and they have only conceded a
miserly four goals!
For me, Celtic may not have the heart and will for
this match - they have been rocked by the news that
Chris Sutton is out for this game, and Celtic did
lose their previous home game 2-3 to Aberdeen. There
are some nice odds on the handicap and I'm on Shaktar
+0.5 with Betfair [£20

CL games, its a long way back for Celtic, and they
may not be motivated enough for this match. The Ukranians
will probably still think they have a chance to qualify
from Group F -so I think they should be backed with
the head start here. " I know a lot of
blues are frustrated but we are 3 or 4 players away
from being a topside also we probably need about 4
or 5 squad players, but until the board of directors
can come up with about 30 million to get them
players we have just got to stick with moyes and be
patient and hope that we can get a couple of new
faces in January we have just got to stay positive.
MM i would leave my e-mail address on here but if it
all kicks of again i would be in trouble as you know
how popular i am with the loveable reds if i could
contact you that would be better. I'm not one for
complaining that the ref ever cost us a match, I
tend to look at our own failings first but in this
case I think it's hard not to say Poll cost us any
chance of winning that game.
Fair play to the arse, very neat and tidy and
accepted a gift of a goal but generally against 10
men, despite a fair bit of possesion, Howard (one
top save apart) had little to do.
On the other hand it looked like we had a clear pen
turned down then McFadden booked for calling him a
cheat, he denies that and when did anyone get sent
off for mouthing at the ref, no consistency and once
again Poll is the centre of attention, one of EFCs
two realistic chances of a pot are gone.
Re our failings, the goal was diabolical, p!ss poor,
decent chances created not finished and subs brought
on in injury time, I thought should have come on the
minute we went behind.
Poll truly is cr@p, appaling show tonight, dismal at
Chelsea last Sunday, poor for us v Sheff U (in our
favour) and missed stuff again in our favour in the
Derby match and of course he brought shame and made
England's FA the laughing stocking his biggest ever
up in the summer with his three red cards.
His most remarkably bad decision was a Poom save
late on from Johnson, a top save were the ball
deflected 45 degrees and went behind for a corner,
he gave a goal kick. Truly staggering incompetence
