A disastrous start for Mark Hughes saw his team go
down to a 3-0 away defeat against a resurgent
Portsmouth team. One other thing, I can't believe
we're considering taking formal action against the
clown Mourinho.
He was clearly out of order, I suspect he knows it
but he clearly has a very large ego he needs to keep
fully inflated.
His team scored three top goals, they came from
behind twice in a very attractive game watched by
the Sky millions, and what are we talking about on
Moday morning ??? Drogba's screamer ? Lampards
Exocet, Evertons frustrations at being un-rewarded
for a good performance, no, we're talking about
Jose's rant about a dive that wasn't a dive. I was
at the match erarly cos of the funny kick off time
and Moyes and Mourinho were both out stood talking
on the pitch for a good 5 mins whilst the teams were
warming up, (I was rather hoping he was sorting a
swap deal, SWP for Beattie), they parted with a big
smile and handshake.
Why can't they just talk to one another over the
phone and sort it like adultsThey also had defenders Lucas Neil
and Andy Todd red carded, although they are set to
appeal against Andy Todds straight red. Everton won
their first game of the season 2-1 against newly
promoted Watford, with goals from Andy Johnson and
Arteta, although they were quite lucky to win after
being awarded a penalty that shouldn't have been.
3 weeks after hed signed beattie , moyes was
inconsolable for buying him ! u may feel that
strange or even untrue but i assure u , thats my
beef with him , he went on other peoples opinion on
him people who had worked with him before and saw 23
goals ,' well , why not ' was his opinion , he
should of had him watched himself , he(beattie0 the
year before he bought him tormented weir at goodison
, that was a big reason why he went for him.
but he does know , and for some time , to be fair ,
u get more money if he was playing first team and
not on bench which probably has an input to it all ,
but now resultd have wavered hes bit the bullet
When I look at this match, I cant help but feel
that Blackburn at 13/10 with Betfred is a great bet.
Even though they got hammered 3-0 on Saturday, they
played against a Portsmouth team with a whole new
optimism, new players and a great manager. Blackburn
also had two men sent off, which of course didnt
help! If they can manage to keep eleven players on
the pitch, I think they can battle to a narrow home
win here. It is striker Benni McCarthy's first
Premiership outing, and I'm sure he will want to
impress his new fans. I'm sure you are 100% correct
in what you say mm, but, before I went out and spent
6m I didn't really have I think it might be wise to
get all the tapes you could of Southampton games,
full 90 mins (I'm sure they're all available to the
clubs ?) and sit through half a dozen random games
8-9 hours spent wisely I would have thought, or get
some one trusted to do it for him.
You could look through any 6 EFC performances by
Beattie for us and I don't think you would see
anything that would make you want top part with £6m.Also Blackburn manager mark
Hughes will not want his side to get beat at home,
and he will demand a better performance form his
players, and Im sure they will respond. Everton were
pretty poor last season, and if the ref had made the
correct decisions, Watford would have come away with
at least a point from that match. Its not going to
be pretty, but I think Benni can just be the
difference between these two sides today. Get on @
13/10!
