"After a good start to the season, Villa
have faltered recently, drawing their last two home
games and they now lie faltering in thirteenth place.
Fulham blew a 2-0 lead in their last game and eventually
lost 2-4 at home to Liverpool.
Again, this is a difficult one to call this week
- Villa are so inconsistant at the minute, only managing
a draw with Crystal Palace in their last home match,
and they have not won in five matches, while Fulham
have only won once in eight games, and have lost their
last two games. So try making sense of that! - the
safest bet we can go on here for me is goals - Aston
Villa have just lost some key players - midfielder
Gareth Barry is out with an injury, while defensively,
they are still without Martin Laursen and goalkeeper
Thomas Sorensen. As a result of these injuries, Villa
have conceded five goals in their last two games,
even Blackburn scored twice against them! Andy Cole
should be back for this game for Fulham and he should
cause Villa alot of problems at the back. Villa boss
David O'Leary will also be targeting this home game
to get his team back up the league, and after a dismal
home draw last week, I feel the Villa will be going
all out attack for this game. Get on the OVER

" Couple of lads in the pub afterwards said
it hit his head, even though he raised his arm, ref
was an all game though. the lad who went through
nuno should have been fed to the ninjas, never mind
get sent off!
thought stubbs was magnificent, carsley put a shift
in and johnson, well to say he adds a whole new
dimension would be understating. the midfield in
general is a worry though, to have your best player
isolated is wrong. and with cahill looking like he'd
rather be in the newz bar we let a championship side
run the game for too long a stretch. Watford are a
functional side, think they will be hard to beat at
home for the average premiership side through their
size and work rate but they have very little
quality, particularly up front. Yes, per, it
did hit his head. A bad decision, but that ref owed
us one after the shocker he had at home to Blackburn
last season. I'm naturally pessimistic - every
silver lining has a cloud - and while none of our
next three opponents won today, I am a little
worried about those fixtures. I'm going up to
Liverpool for the weekend of the Man City game -
Indie club one night, lappage the other - and I hope
we've got our teething troubles sorted out by then.
got to get arteta in the game more, simple as. i was
disappointed with cahill, he stunk the house out
today. the paranoid side of me sees cahill now as
rooney was in his final (final! ha!) season with us.
we'll see nothing apart from the occasional 15
minutes when he can be arsed. i sincerely hope that
isn't the case.
