This is the game of the weekend as Liverpool
travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal.
Both these sides are well off the pace of the title
leaders, and so a win is vital either team. Arsenal
are unbeaten at home but have only won twice and
drawn three times. Most recently they have stuttered
somewhat, losing to lowly West Ham 1-0, in a game in
which Wenger and Pardew almost started fighting, and
in their last home game could only manage a 1-1 draw
with Everton. In both these games Thierry Henry
looked a little off colour.
Liverpool are strong at
home, but their away form is absolutely terrible.
They have only taken one point out of a possible
fifteen available, an have failed to score in their
last four away trips. It is also worth noting that
Liverpool have not beaten Arsenal away since 2000.
This is going to be a tight game as they always
are, although there is added pressure as both will
be disappointed with the start they have made to the
Premiership. One thing that has surprised me is the
form of Henry for Arsenal. He does not seem himself
at the moment and if he does not play well, then
Arsenal normally struggle. I'm sure that Liverpool's
dreadful away form cannot go on for much longer.
Liverpool are now actually unbeaten in their last
five games in all competitions, and I think they
will be in a better frame of mind than Arsenal
today. I'm looking at the asian handicaps and I fancy
Liverpool.
Bet365 will offer a free £100 bet on this game and
with Liverpool +0.5 @ 4/5 this is going to be my
main bet today. If Henry is firing on all
guns then Arsenal should win, which is why I'm also
going for a correct score bet of Arsenal to win 2-1.
However, he has shown little to suggest that he is
back to his best, and I'm sure Liverpool can snatch
a draw, which will make out bet a winner. |
