" Its been a disappointing month for Arsenal, they have lost alot of ground on the leaders Chelsea, while they had a miserable loss to Bolton last week 1-0 at the Reebok. Newcastle are now unbeaten in three and beat Southampton 2-1 in their last game. The most important factor however, was the return of Alan Shearer from injury.

Arsenal are suprisingly inconsistant at the moment, and I dont think they are firing on all cylinders. It seems that Thierry Henry and some of the other stars are not playing on top of thir game - it looks like they have lost interest as they know Chelsea are virtually unbeatable. Newcastle are faring not much better, but on their day I'm sure they have the quality to shock a few teams. They are underachieving at the moment but will be given a huge boost with the return of Shearer. Arsenal drew their last game 1-1 with Man City, and were lucky not to lose, and I think Newcastle can give them a good game today. Newcastle do score an average of 1.36 goals for every away trip, and if they keep to that average then this will be a close game as Arsenal are not scoring freely at the moment. I'm certainly one for coming on here and rubbing people's (blue) noses in it as I'm smart enough to know that at some point I'd be bound to get the abuse back with interest at some point. Whilst I'm obviously not exactly crying into my beer at your current plight, this thread deserves lots of respect and although it's a dangerous cliche, you really ARE too good to go down in my view. Like Moyes says, you just need a goal. Spoke to a couple of mates who went yesterday and sounds like you really aren't getting the breaks right now. Dont expect to get 4 against Buca but a win would restore a bit of confidence...and who knows, they might collapse like a cheap tent if we get a couple.

International week coming up soon and only 1 league game til Spuds away in 3 weeks..hopefully Van Der Meyde, Beattie and Koldrup will be fit by then and might help turn things around.  Although its depressing stuff its far too early to do anything daft. Moyes frustrates me at times but got to give him credit overall and had we had these injuries last year we would never have been in Europe in the firsrt place. Got to take the rough with the smooth. Only 3 or 4 clubs who can take any credit or be happy with their start so far. Most other clubs would have forced their managers out by now....but thats why we are different class. Onwards and UPWARDS.
