England Under 21 European Championship

With England now out of the competition, the focus will switch as many start looking for the team that is going to win the next Under 21 European Championship.

Spain are the huge favourites at this point even though England exposed the fact they may not be the best Spanish side in history. However, they find a way to score goals and get wins which is crucial in any type of knock out situation. The best odds floating around for a Spanish win are currently 5/11 with Unibet.

Switzerland have been playing remarkably well and will be the favourites in the eyes of many. The Swiss have not lost a game so far at the event and are on course for a good tournament where they will be expecting to make the final at the very least. They are 22/5 to win with Betfair.

The Czech Republic have been enjoying good support and they have played some solid although not outstanding football. The Czechs are coached very well and they get their tactics right for the opponent. However, they have a frailty at the back which may be exposed and is the reason for a lengthy 13/2 with Paddy Power.

Belarus are the classic outsiders and may think their position lucky as they have very little to lose. No one expected them to still be in the competition and in such a high profile knock out situation, anything can happen. The best odds for a Belarus win are 25/1 with Skybet.

Spain hold all of the aces but they now have a massive target on their back which everyone else is going to be aiming for. They need to watch that they don’t get a little complacent as the calibre of sides left in the competition may not be as strong as they would have expected.
