It seems that Liverpool have played too many games already this season, as they finally qualified for the Champions League, after a shaky 1-1 draw with Haifa to take them through to the final stages. In their first game, they drew 1-1 away at Sheffield Utd. They do have injury concerns however – Jamie Carragher, John Arne Riise and Mohamed Sissoko are doubtful. West Ham have had a bright start to their Premiership campaign, winning 3-1 at home to Charlton and then drawing 1-1 away at Fulham.

With Craig Bellamy in the side Liverpool have genuine pace in the side, and together with Pennant and Gonzalez, they have the added option of crosses into the box for Crouch. Liverpool can mix it up, although I’m sure West Ham can cause them problems.

Bobby Zamora has three goals in his opening two games and he will be confident coming into this game. Liverpool should be able to outscore the London side this time round. This is probably the best time to play Liverpool, as they have a few injury doubts and may be fatigued by their trips midweek in the Champions League. However, I still think they’ll win.
