With the series now out of reach after Australia’s excellent win in the sixth One Day International in Sydney to put themselves 5-1 ahead, England will now be looking towards the World Cup.

The seventh and final one day match takes place in Perth on Sunday and Andrew Strauss’ men will use it more as a warm-up game to try and find some form before travelling to India to contest the World Cup.

A brilliant hundred from Jonathan Trott helped England to 333-6 but an inspired innings from Aussie skipper Michael Clarke steered the home side to victory in the final over and it will certainly give them the impetus going into the final match.

Australia have been dominant throughout the shorter format and are clear 4/6 favourites to wrap up an emphatic 6-1 success whilst England are best-priced 11/10 with most firms. Paul Collingwood will be missing for England after suffering a back spasm in Sydney and with the bowling already stretched it could very much hinder England’s chances.

Meanwhile, the Aussies have been imperious in this series and are very unlikely to make many changes so you have to fancy them to demolish England once again and notch up the seventh ODI with aplomb.

With the 4/6 offering little value look towards the top batsman market and in England’s line-up there is only one man who you can choose. Trott has been the only shining light throughout this series with the bat and at 7/2 has to be the one to go with to top score yet again.

Several Aussice batsmen have been in good form with Shane Watson authoritative at the top of the order and the likes of David Hussey and Michael Clarke chipping in at the end with good scores. However, one fairly fresh face that showed his class in the last match was Callum Ferguson. He scored an elegant 46 runs off 44 balls before being run out by Matt Prior and the 6/1 offered by Stan James for him to top score definitely offers a bit of value.
